The ZPC FLIS Company running its business activity in the sugar industry on Polish market, since 2005 has utilized healthy vegetable non trans fats.
Non trans fats are profitable for health, they are characterized with positive relation of unsaturated acids to the saturated acids and do not contain trans isomers. As opposed to the commonly utilized hard fats (animal), the vegetable oils do not result in increase in cholesterol in the blood. High level of the cholesterol in the blood forms up a one of risk factors for atheromatosis and coronary disease. Vegetable fats are rich in Essential Fatty Acids (EFA) which enable to prevent from circulatory system diseases. Opposite to the cholesterol and saturated acids, EFA are not produced by an organism, therefore, they must be regular content of a diet.

March 15th 2008
There was started up a sewage pretreatment facility, LUGAN 3000 which enables preliminary purification of liquid production sewages before they are moved into municipal sewage system. The project has been financed by the National Fund for Environment Protection and Water Management and co-financed from financial means of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
